Helen Armstead

Services for Helen L. Foskett Armstead, 85, Kansas City, Kan., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mrs. Armstead died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
She was born Aug. 17, 1925 in Bonner Springs, Kansas. She was raised in Bonner Springs and then moved to Kansas City, Kan., where she raised her family and lived for 55 years. She had worked at Ben Franklin Store and Lone Star Cement Co., both in Bonner Springs, and retired from H.D. Lee Co. in Merriam.
Mrs. Armstead was known for her beautiful yard and flowers.
She was a member of the Grandview United Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kan.
Her husband, Jack Crawford Armstead, died in 1996.
Survivors include two daughters, Kay C. Stanley, Manassas, Va., and Anita L. Harkrader, Nampa, Idaho; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
