Howard Saunders

Services for Howard Cecil Saunders, 90, Bonner Springs, were Saturday, Jan. 9, at Edwardsville Christian Church. Burial was in Edwardsville Cemetery.
Mr. Saunders died Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2010, at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing Home in Olathe.
He was born Aug. 11, 1919 in Iatan, Mo., and was a longtime area resident.
Mr. Saunders was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy and also a longtime member of Edwardsville Christian Church.
His wife of 60 years, Margaret Saunders, died in 2008.
Survivors include three daughters, Linda Budimlija, Olathe, Theresa Saunders, Lincoln, Mo., and Fern Saunders, Bonner Springs; a son, James Saunders, Gladstone, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
