Wolbach, Neb. — Services for Lavern L. Wrzenski, 81, Wolbach, Neb., were Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Greeley, Neb. Burial followed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Elba, Neb. Mr. Wrzenski died June 17, 2010, at the St. Francis Medical Center, Grand Island, Neb.
He was born Sept. 22, 1928, on a farm north of Elba, the son of Stanley and Nellie (Zielinski) Wrzenski. He attended rural school and upon completion of his education, he farmed with his family.
Mr. Wrzenski served in the United States Army from January 1951 to June 1951 and was stationed at Fort Eustis, Virg. He was a farmer the rest of his life until retirement in 2005.
He married Louise C. Holtorf on Nov. 30, 1963, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in St. Paul, Neb. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Wrzenski, Wolbach, and Rhonda Wrzenski and husband Bruce Anderson, Baldwin City.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sons, Leon and Larry; an infant daughter, Irene; and three brothers, Clifford, David and Raymond Wrzenski.
