Billie Gasser
Funeral services for Billie G. Gasser, 84, of Shawnee were Monday, June 21, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Mr. Gasser died Friday, June 18, 2010, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center.
He was born Dec. 26, 1925 in Pierce City, Mo., son of William and Katherine Gasser. He was a 50-year member of the United Transportation Union.
Survivors include his wife, Eva “Dolores” Gasser; two daughters, Janice (Danny) Chance, Checotah, Okla., and Elizabeth Gasser, Shawnee; six sons, John (Kathy) Gasser, Manhattan, Kenneth Gasser, Shawnee, Thomas Gasser, Roeland Park, Richard (Rhonda) Gasser, Shawnee, Daniel Gasser, St. Paul, Minn., and Peter (Leslie) Gasser, Roeland Park; three sisters, Julia (Everett) Fritz, Monett, Mo., Margaret (Jack) Gilmore, Shell Knob, Mo., and Kathleen (Jack) Fritts, VanBuren, Ark.; three brothers, Gene Gasser, Larry (Loretta) Gasser, and Edward (Phyllis) Gasser, all of Pierce City, Mo.; and 17 grandchildren.
