A private Catholic Mass for Margaret A. Nicholas Germain, 86, Lawrence, will be at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa.?She died Friday, May 7, 2010, at Baldwin Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Baldwin City.?She was born Oct. 5, 1923, in Anadarko, Okla., the daughter of Bernard Dennis and Agnes Barbara Wolgran Shea. She graduated from Puyallup High School in Puyallup, Wash.?Ms. Germain lived in Washington, California and Overland Park. She worked as a secretary for many years. She volunteered for several years with Kansas University Audio Reader and Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church in Lawrence.?She met her husband, Albert E. Nicholas, at a United Service Organizations dance in Tacoma, Wash. They married in 1945.?Survivors include her daughters, Michele Bach, Lawrence, and Renee Bussell and husband Alan, Paola; two granddaughters, Lisa Cano and Lori Linhos; two grandsons, Sean and Alan Bussell; and six great-grandchildren, Michael, Logan, Mason and Melyssa Bussell and Ainsley and Fletcher Linhos.?The family suggests memorials to Heart of America Hospice, sent in care of Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home & Crematory, 601 Ind., Lawrence, KS 66044.?Online condolences may be sent at rumsey-yost.com.
