Alvin Palmer

Bonner Springs — Services for Alvin (Bud) Palmer, 88, Bonner Springs, were Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Bonner Springs United Methodist Church.
Mr. Palmer died Saturday Oct. 9, 2010.
He was born Feb. 16, 1922, in Peabody, Kan., the son of Charles and Irene (Buckner) Palmer. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and worked as a laborer for Phillips Petroleum. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Bonner Springs VFW Post No. 6401 and Basehor Lions Club.
A daughter, Rhonda Thomas, died in February 2000.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Palmer, of the home; a daughter, Karol (Terry) Lohman, Leavenworth; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
