Wade Martin

Mr. Martin died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at the Sweet Life at Rosehill, Shawnee.
He was born April 12, 1918, in Joplin, Mo., the son of Wade H. and Matilda Martin. He was a graduate of the University of Chicago.
During World War II, Mr. Martin was stationed in China as a meteorologist. After the war, he worked for Eagle-Picher in Dallas and later went on to become owner/operator of Abner-Hood, retiring in 1983. HFe was a member of the American Chemical Society.
His wife, Martha (Emerson) Martin, died on March 23, 2009.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. Wade “Chip” (Mary) Martin III, St. Louis, and Dr. John Christopher (Maureen) Martin, Edmond, Okla.; and three grandsons.
