Vada Clark
Memorial services for Vada G. Clark, 81, Shawnee, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at Shawnee United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Clark died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at Sweet Life of Rosehill.
She was born Feb. 11, 1929, in Jetmore, the daughter of Harry and Florence (Lupfer) Schechter. She attended Sterling College.
Mrs. Clark was a longtime member of Shawnee United Methodist Church, and was employed as a secretary for Flint Elementary School for 17 years. She was a 25-year volunteer for Shawnee Mission Medical Center and an active member of Cancer Action.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Robert; three sons and their wives, Charles (Chris) and Carl (Marjorie), both of Shawnee, and Donald (Catherine) Rosenberg, Texas; a sister, Dorothy (Ralph) Morris, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Richard (Joann) Schechter, Monroe, Ohio; seven grandchildren;and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the church after the memorial services.
