Patrick Elwood

Services for Patrick Elwood, 47, of Overbrook, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Bucyrus Methodist Church, Bucyrus. Burial will be in Bucyrus Cemetery.
Mr. Elwood died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2011, at Skaggs Regional Medical Center in Branson, Mo.
Funeral service will be held
He was born March 18, 1963, in Olathe, the son of Gerald O. and Doris M. (Porter) Elwood. He graduated from Louisburg High School in 1981. He worked for Honeywell as a maintenance technician for several years. In 2001 he started Elwood Construction with his brother Mike, remodeling homes and doing custom tile work.
Survivors include his wife, Shelby; his parents, Gerald O. and Doris M. Elwood, Bucyrus; two daughters, Susan, Elwood, Bentonville, Ark., and Danielle Elwood, 16, of the home; two stepchildren, Katie Vulgamore and Nicolas Vulgamore, both of Wellsville; and three sisters, Rita (Weaver) Richards, Cleveland, Mo., Linda (Mick) Town, Somerset, and Cheryl (Mark) Dulaney, Bucyrus.
Mr. Elwood was an organ donor.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Penwell-Gabel Chapel in Paola.
The family suggests memorials to the Danielle Elwood College Fund, sent in care of the funeral chapel, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, KS 66071.
