Robert Baty

Memorial services for Robert Thomas Baty, 62, Shawnee, were Monday, Jan. 24, at Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee.
Mr. Baty died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
He was born May 8, 1948, in Chicago, the son of Lawrence and Rebecca (Morrison) Baty.
Mr. Baty was a 1966 graduate of Kelly High School in Chicago. He attended Southern Illinois University.
He and his family moved in 1979 to Shawnee and started Aircorp Inc., where he became known as “The Fan Man.” He recently took on a new venture and started Victor’s Chicago Pizza in Lenexa.
Robert married Dolores Cieler on July 6, 1968, in Chicago. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Robert (Diane) Baty Jr., Overland Park, Richard (Jennifer) Baty and Anthony Baty, all of Shawnee; four grandchildren; and two brothers, Lawrence Baty, West Frankfort, Ill., and Orville Baty, Sesser, Ill.
