Graveside services for Joseph “Joseppi” Newman, 50, Kansas City, Kan., and previously of Olathe, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, at Bonner Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Newman died Saturday, June 11, 2011.
He was born May 26, 1961, in Kansas City, Kan., and was a 1979 graduate of Olathe High School.
Mr. Newman had worked for more than 20 years at Max Rieke Construction through the Construction Industry Laborers Union, Local No. 1290.
His mother, Dolores Lynch, died earlier.
Survivors include a son, Jeffrey Newman, and a daughter, Rebecca Newman, both of the home; a sister, Cynthia (Dennis) Bricker, Olathe; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs.
The family suggests memorials to the National MS Society, sent in care of the funeral home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
