Elizabeth Stevens

Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth L. “Betty” Stevens, 77, Shawnee, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shawnee.
Mrs. Stevens died Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2011, in Manhattan, Kan.
She was born Feb. 13, 1934, in Chicago, the daughter of William and Frances Boettger.
She lived in Portage, Mich., Fort Worth, Texas, Arlington Heights, Ill., and since 1980 has lived in Shawnee.
Mrs. Stevens was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and participated in many local charitable organizations.
She married Gerald A. Stevens in 1959 in Chicago. He survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jeff, Bill and Bob Stevens; two daughters, Julie Bigam and Ann Chaffee; two sisters, Gertrude and Lourraine Boettger; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, where the rosary will be prayed at 5 p.m.
