Virgil Marchand

Virgil Marchand, 90, of Shawnee, KS passed away July 10, 2012. A visitation was held Friday, July 13, from 6 to 8 pm at the Amos Family Funeral Home & Crematory.
Virgil was born May 26, 1922 in Blue Springs, NE to Edward and Blanche (Simon) Marchand, one of 12 children.
He served in the US Army during WWII on Omaha Beach and in the Battle of the Bulge. Virgil worked for AT&T for over 40 years before retiring. He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Marchand, by his
daughters Karen Marchand, & Jo Ellen Dyche (David), by a grandson Josh Barraclough (Heather), by great- grandchildren, Kaleb & Stella. He is also survived by a brother Dwight Marchand. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Disabled American Veterans.
