REX E. ELLIOTT, 54, born August 09, 1963 to James and Janet McBroom in Leavenworth, Kansas, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2018 in Winter Haven, Florida. Rex is survived by his wife Marylee Elliott, daughters Ashley Lynn, Amanda Elliott and Autumn Eckman; stepson, Paul Theis; mother Janet McBroom; brother Mitchell Elliott; sisters Kim McBroom, Sheila McBroom Morgan and Tammy McBroom Upshaw; 12 grandchildren, many beloved nieces, nephews, family members and finally his beloved pets. Rex went home to be reunited in heaven with his son Jeremy Elliott, father James McBroom and brother Rocky Elliott. Rex was previously married to Lisa Patton Elliott. Rex moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 2016 from McLouth, Kansas. He had many passions to name a few The Boy Scouts, creative metal and rock arts, fishing, landscaping and just being outdoors. One thing that can’t be forgotten is that he loved being barefoot. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Tonganoxie, Kansas.
