Steven Ingram
Steven Guy Ingram , Bradenton, FL was born in Oak Ridge, TN. His parents were Jarl and Colleen Ingram. He is survived by his wife Teri, son Chad, daughter-in-law Kelly, grandchildren Trinity, Collin, Abby, and Sean (they reside in Shawnee, KS). He is also survived by his sister Virginia “Ginger” Wingert (resides in Lecompton, KS), brother-in-law Steve Wingert, and nephews Dennis and Kent Wingert. Steve graduated from Lawrence High School in 1962, Missouri State University and received a Masters degree in counseling, and from Emporia State University. Steve worked as a teacher in Berkeley, MO, a teacher and counselor at Topeka High School, a pipefitter, and a union organizer. He sold real estate at Stephens Realty in Lawrence, KS. He worked with dislocated workers programs in various organizations–General Motors, AFL-CIO in Washington DC, workers in Hungary, and steel workers in Chicago at the Institute for Career Development. He ended his career as the director of the Plumbers & Pipefitters apprenticeship school in Topeka, KS Steve loved to travel, photography, the theatre, and gardening. Steve will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc.
