David Seymour
On the afternoon of July 6th, 2021, David Craig Seymour was called home to Christ. David, a lifelong resident of Tonganoxie, was born on November 13, 1970, and spent his final moments on the land and near the people he cherished the most.
A celebration of life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at the Tonganoxie VFW Post #9271, 910 E First Street, Tonganoxie, KS 66086. David was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. David was fiercely loyal; profoundly intellectual; generous with his talents, frequently smoking meats for gatherings and offering tech and mechanical advice or assistance; and relished the opportunity to watch racing, Chief’s football, and KU basketball with his family and friends. He was a 1989 graduate of Tonganoxie High School and continued his education at Kansas City Kansas Community College, where he graduated with an associate’s degree in 1991. David completed his bachelor’s degree at the University of Kansas in 1993 and then achieved his MBA from Baker University in 2003. He worked for Lawrence Memorial Hospital for over 20 years as an IT Specialist.
David is survived by his wife, Amber, and their children Kahlee, Sophia, and Isaac; his parents Mike and Janice; his brother Mike and sister-in-law Jennifer; his father and mother-in-law Jim and Belinda Rehmer; his sisters and brothers-in-law Kendra Bearden, Jamie and JD Greer, and Steven and Ellen Rehmer; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
The Dave Seymour Family Memorial Fund has been established to assist his wife and children as they continue to grow and move forward with his memory. Donations to this fund can be made at the First State Bank of Tonganoxie. Donations can also be made to the Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Fund; Services entrusted to Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie.
