Herrera signs with Iowa Western to play softball

Tonganoxie High senior Mariah Herrera signs a National Letter of Intent earlier this month to play softball at Iowa Western Community College.Mariah Herrera will be continuing her softball career at the collegiate level.
The Tonganoxie High senior signed earlier this month with Iowa Western Community College.
The Reivers compete in the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference.
In 2023, IWCC went 23-18 overall and 9-9 in conference play.
The Iowa team lost in the Region II Tournament in a Best-of-3 series against Southeastern Community College, 4-0 and 3-2.
Iowa Western is in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Herrera will get to play close to home, as the team visits Johnson County Community College and Kansas City Kansas Community College and plays several other Kansas junior colleges at home in the spring.
The Reivers also open the season Feb. 6 at Labette Community College in Parsons.
