Tonganoxie High boys wrestling competes in 2 meets

Tonganoxie High boys placed ninth at the Gardner-Edgerton Invitational on Saturday

THS scored 85.5 points during Saturday’s tournament at GEHS in Gardner.

Placers at GEHS were Braeden Moore (144) and Brady Martin (157) with second-place finishes and Gannon Sonntag fourth at 165 and Noah Bailey sixth at 150.

Southeast Polk (Iowa) won the invitational with 253.5 points. Broken Arrow (Oklahoma) placed second with 193.5, while Allen (Texas) took third with 189.5 points. Omaha Skutt (Nebraska) placed fourth (143.5), Manhattan fifth (141.5) and Goddard sixth (129.5).

Mustang (Oklahoma) finished seventh with 123, Mill Valley eighth with 103.5 and then Tonganoxie in ninth with 85.5

Rounding out the rest of the field were Olathe North (10th, 83), St. Thomas Aquinas (11th, 83), Salina South (12th, 81.5), Salina Central (13th, 81), Gardner-Edgerton (14th, 73), Dodge City (15th, 42), Paola (16th, 36) and St. James Academy (17th, 20).

At the Wamego Invite, Blake Riedel placed second (132) and Noah Carlson (215) and Jaxon Dominic (285) fourth.
