Tonganoxie High cross country readies for league meet

Tonganoxie High girls golf placed second at a tournament earlier this week in Garnett at the Anderson County Invitational.
The team finished as runner-up to champion Fredonia and just ahead of Eureka. The girls were led by Bethany Overmiller, who took 15th place at the meet. The other score counting members of the team were Abby Clarkson, Julia Staples and Paityn Van Middlesworth.
The team had the Frontier League meet Tuesday at Heritage Park Golf Course south of Olathe. The meet finished after The Mirror’s print deadline.
The team also has a meet at 1 p.m. today at Faolcon Lakes Golf Course, Basehor.
