Tonganoxie boys golf nabs 2nd at Frontier League meet
Tonganoxie High boys golf team members celebrate a second-place finish at the Frontier League Meet last week.
The Tonganoxie High boys golf team finished as this year’s Frontier League runner-up last week at Sycamore Ridge Golf Course.
The THS squad participated in two tournaments at Sycamore, the league tournament and the Spring Hill invitational.
There were 22 teams at the Spring Hill tourney. Tonganoxie placed sixth and then we got second in the league tournament against the eight league teams.
Gavin Reischman had a strong day in leading the Chieftains. He placed sixth and shot a personal best 78 at league.
Right behind him was Luke McRae, who shot a personal best and placed eighth at the Frontier League meet.
Zac Fisher wasn’t far behind with an 83.
Tonganoxie shot a season low score of 331 and finished behind league champion Spring Hill. The team next was in action on Monday at Falcon Lakes in the Bobcat Invitational. More results can be found in next week’s edition of The Mirror.
