Tonganoxie High baseball eyeing return to state as season opens later this week

THS heads to state for the second time in three years.Tonganoxie High baseball will be looking to make its seventh state appearance in program history later this spring.
It also could be the team’s third in the last four seasons.
Tonganoxie finished last year at 12-14 after a regional run in Fort Scott. THS defeated Bishop Miege, 6-3, and Chanute, 1-0, for a berth in Salina.
THS then lost to eventual champion Rock Creek, 5-3. The two teams will meet again in the regular-season finale this year at Rock Creek.
Tonganoxie track also opens the season later this week at Free State.
