THS has outscored opponents, 12-0, during that stretch. The Chieftains defeated Paola, 8-0, on April 24 and then defeated Heritage Christian on April 29 and Bonner Springs on May 1 by 2-0 scores. Tonganoxie improved to 6-5-1 with those victories and faced Turner (2-10-1) on Tuesday at home after The Mirror’s print deadline.

Tonganoxie has a big home match Thursday against Eudora in a Frontier League matchup. The Cardinals are 7-4-2 on the season.

THS currently is the No. 8 seed in the Class 4-1A East Bracket. The Eudora match will be the team’s final home date of the regular season. The Chieftains finish out the regular season with matches Tuesday at Kansas City Christian (10-2) and May 15 at Hayden (6-5) in Topeka.
