THS placed in several events, as Solomon Carter placed fourth in the 1,600 with a time of 4 minutes, 30.34 seconds and Tucker McGuire placed fourth in the discus with a throw of 159 feet, 4 inches. Todd Brown placed sixth in the 200 (23.44 seconds) and seventh in the 100 (11.40).

The THS boys 4×400 relay team placed sixth (3:32.38) and the 4×100 relay team eighth (44.90).

On the girls side, Reece Schmidt placed second in the high jump (5-2), third in the 100 (12.93) and the 200 (27.11). Adalyn Schooler also placed in the high jump, as she took fifth (5-0).

Khrisalyn Wright took sixth in the 100 (13.38).

Kara Johnson placed fourth in the 3,200 (12:20.89) and the 4×100 relay team placed third (51.50).

In the long jump, Keagan Murray placed third (16-1) and Ashlyn Bruce fourth (15-10).

And in the discus, Adalyn Schooler finished fourth (116-6).

Tonganoxie next will compete Friday at Wellsville. The meet starts at 3:30 p.m. The team then will be gearing up for the Frontier League meet, which is next week. The league meet starts at 4 p.m. May 15 at Bonner Springs. Regionals start at 1 p.m. May 22 in Tonganoxie. Other Class 4A regional sites are Louisburg, Abilene and Andale.
