Todd Brown placed second in the 100 and fourth in the 200.

Kendall Smith also medaled in the 100.

Tonganoxie also had some third-place finishes at the league meet. Solomon Carter placed their in the 800, as did the 4×800 relay team and Tucker McGuire in the discus.

Others medaling were Jett Gilmore, sixth in the 400 and Brayden Seymour, eighth in the shot put. The 4×400 relay team took fourth and the 4×100 relay team seventh.

On the girls side, Adalyn Schooler placed second in the discus, as did the 4×100 relay team in its race and Ashlyn Bruce in the long jump. Brune also earned medals in the 100 and 200. She placed sixth in the 100 and eighth in the 200. Schooler also earned third place in the high jump.

In the 800, Kara Johnson placed second and Brooke Nihart sixth. Johnson nabbed fourth in the 3,200.

Others getting medals were Adalyn Harder, seventh in the high jump; Keagan Murray, eighth in the long jump; Keagan Murry, fourth in the pole vault; Adlen Johnson, fourth in the shot put; and Finley Rieke, eighth in the shot put.

Tonganoxie will compete Thursday in a Class 4A regional at Beatty Field.

Field events will start at 1 p.m. and prelims at 4 p.m., with finals to start 30 minutes after prelims conclude. The Top 4 placers in each event will advance to the state championships May 30-31 at Cessna Stadium in Wichita.
