Tonganoxie footballTonganoxie tried to slow down Basehor-Linwood on Friday at Beatty Field, but the visiting Bobcats eventually put together a pretty complete game and eventually won the non-conference showdown, 38-10.
THS tried to control the ball offensively by using up large chunks of the play clock before snapping the ball. Tonganoxie had some success moving the ball, but just couldn’t generate enough scores to stay with BLHS.
The Bobcats moved to 6-0 on the season, while the Chieftains dropped to 4-2. Tonganoxie now has another big rival this week in Frontier League colleague Eudora. The Cardinals (5-1) are coming off a 54-14 victory Friday against Independence in Eudora.
