McLouth football falls to JCN; Rossville ends Bulldogs volleyball season

Jefferson County North snapped McLouth’s winning streak Friday in Winchester.
The Chargers won, 58-8, and remained undefeated at 7-0. The Bulldogs fell to 2-5, but are 2-2 in district play. MHS hosts Onaga (3-4) this Friday in the final regular-season game. The Buffaloes also are 2-2 in district play. The game will determine the teams’ regional seedings, as they hold the third and fourth spots currently in Class 1A District 3.
Rossville drops MHS volleyball at regionals
McLouth volleyball ended its season Monday in Class 2A regional play.
MHS fell to Rossville, 25-10, 25-8. McLouth finished the season at 4-33, while Rossville advances with a 26-13 record.
Cross country at Central Heights regional
McLouth cross country will compete Saturday in a Class 2A regional at Central Heights near Richmond.
The girls meet starts at 10:35 a.m. and the boys meet at 11:45 a.m.
Other teams assigned to the regional are Arma Northeast, Maur Hill-Mount Academy, Cherokee Southeast, Atchison County, Erie, Doniphan West, Horton, Humboldt, Oswego, St. Mary’s Colgan, Kansas City Christian, Central Heights, Uniontown, Valley Falls and Jefferson County North.
