THS, which went 8-4 last season, has battled LHS to some thrillers lately, but unfortunately for the Chieftains, the Wildcats haven’t lost in the series since 2020. LHS won 21-20 in overtime in 2024, 30-29 in 2023 and 34-28 in overtime in 2021. LHS also won, 49-0, in 2022.
Louisburg was among the “other teams considered” in kpreps.com’s Class 4A rankings. The site ranks the Top 5 teams in each class.
Tonganoxie is on the road Sept. 12 and then will be back home Sept. 19 for homecoming against Lansing.
