Tonganoxie boys golf takes Royal Valley invitational
The Tonganoxie USD 464 school board approved girls golf as the district's newest high school offering. The team's inaugural season is this fall, with THS boys golf coach Doug Sandburg also leading the girls team.
Tonganoxie High boys golf won the Royal Valley Invitational and took the individual title as well.
THS won the eight-team meet March 30 with a low score of 345 at Firekeeper Golf Course north of Topeka. Santa Fe Trail placed second with a 351. Chieftain sohpomore Luke McRae won the meet with a 75. Also in the Top 10 were No. 8 Cameron Wensel (87) and No. 9 Lachlan McRae (88)
