Tonganoxie and McLouth are among the many high schools (and middle schools) across the state that will be opening the preseason schedule on Aug. 17 with the first practices of the year.

In Tonganoxie, the first team to open its schedule will be boys soccer. THS begins the season Aug. 28 at home against Kansas City Christian and then is at home again Sept. 1 against Maranatha Christian Academy.

The first road match of the year is Sept. 3 at Lansing. Tonganoixe’s farthest trip this year is Oct. 17 at Hays.

Volleyball and girls golf teams open the season Sept. 1 at Atchison and Ottawa, respectively, while football starts Sept. 4 at Louisburg and Cross country opens the next day against Lansing and Leavenworth on the University of Saint Mary campus in Leavenworth.
