Tongie Tidal Waves have 1st home meet

The Tongie Tidal Waves are in the middle of their summer season. The squad has competed in two meets so far, including its home opener this past Friday at Tonganoxie Water Park. Captains for last week’s meet were, from left, Reed Lally, Casen Simon and Harper Spottswood.The Tonganoxie Tidal Waves opened the season June 5 on the road against the De Soto Dolphins and then opened the home portion of the season schedule this past Friday against the Piper Piranhas.
The Tidal Waves’ next competition will be another home meet this Friday morning against Lake Quivira at Tonganoxie Water Park. This year’s team has 68 participants.
