The Chieftains hope that won’t be them.

THS lost to Louisburg, 21-7, in the season opener at Louisburg. Chieftain special teams miscues helped the Wildcats to two touchdowns, which happened to be the difference in the Frontier League game.

Both teams have gone 6-2 since that first game, so the game is shaping up to be another tight THS-Louisburg clash. LHS is the No. 2 seed in the Class 4A East Bracket and THS the No. 7. The winner will get No. 3 Sumner Academy (7-2) or a rematch with fellow Frontier League team Ottawa (5-4).
