Ten-team Tonganoxie Invitational is Saturday at Chieftain Arena

Matches will start at 8 a.m. Saturday at Chieftain Arena.
Pool A is No. 1 Gardner-Edgerton, No. 4 Blue Valley Southwest, No. 5 Ottawa, No. 8 Piper and No. 9 Topeka High. Pool B is No. 2 Junction City, No. 3 Eudora, No. 6 Shawnee Mission North, No. 7 Tonganoxie and No. 10 Leavenworth.
Tonganoxie will face Leavenworth first and then Junction City in pool play at Chieftain Arena. Tonganoxie later will play Eudora and Shawnee Mission North in pool play.
Pool A matches will be at the auxiliary gymnasium and Pool B matches will be at Chieftain Arena. The Top 2 teams in pool play will advance to the semifinals at Chieftain Arena. The finals and third-place match will follow on the two courts. The auxiliary gymnasium will have fifth- and seventh-place matches on two courts during the semifinals. The fifth-place teams in each pool will not advance beyond pool play.
Gardner-Edgerton currently is ranked No. 9 in Class 6A, per the Kansas Volleyball Coaches Association rankings. Blue Valley Southwest is No. 7 in 5A and Eudora is No. 5 in 4A.
