Inaugural Float Fest draws crowd to Tonganoxie Water Park

Tonganoxie Recreation Commission’s inaugural Float Fest drew several community members and some inflatables Thursday to Tonganoxie Water Park.
Music blasted as hula hoop enthusiasts danced poolside while Kona Ice offered sno cones southeast of the park. Youths and adults floated around on inflatables as some jumped off the diving boards or utilized the park’s two slides.
Jennifer Feeney, TRC program director, said the event brought a crowd of roughly 90 community members to the water park.
Float Fest initially was scheduled for July, but inclement weather forced postponement of the event.
