Friday’s Float Fest at Tonganoxie Water Park has been moved to Aug. 10.

Tonganoxie Recreation Commission staff announced the move on Facebook on Friday.

“We have decided to reschedule this event due to inclement weather,” the Facebook post read. “We want to make the most fun of this pool party, and the predicted weather will affect our ability to safely continue tonight. We’re so sorry!”

The first-time event now will take place 8-10 p.m. Aug. 10, which is a Thursday.

For those who have already purchased wristbands, TRC announced that it would honor the new date for the party. Wristband registration will be open until Aug. 10. Those interested in attending can call TRC at 913-845-3502 with any questions or concerns.
