MEMBERS OF PHIL JEANNIN’S FAMILY accept his Legacy Award during last week’s Tonganoxie Business Association’s annual appreciation banquet at Deer Ridge Estate.

Tonganoxie Business Association had its an- nual appreciation banquet March 3 and, as is tradition at the event, recognized lo-

cal businesses and commu- nity members with various awards.

This year’s business of the year went to Hilltop Bar, while the new busi- ness of the year was Coun- ty Road Brewing.

Cedar Hills Mall was

named entrepreneur of the year, and Grounded Cof- feehouse was named non- profit of the year.

This year’s Legacy Award winner was Phil Jeannin, known affection- ately in Tonganoxie as Coach J. Jeannin couldn’t

attend, but his daughters and grandchildren ac- cepted on his behalf. Look for more photos from the event in an upcoming print edition of The Mirror.
