McLouth caps homecoming week with victory

McLouth High School celebrated homecoming week this past week with plenty of activities and finished off the week with a MHS football victory and school dance.

MHS celebrated spirit days throughout the week, starting with Picture Perfect Day on Sept. 21, PJ Day on Sept. 22 and Class Colors Day on Wednesday, Sept. 23. Decade Day was Thursday and Purple and Gold Day on Friday.

Class colors for homecoming week were yellow for freshmen, blue for sophomores, purple for juniors and pink for seniors.

On Wednesday, Sept. 23, a community parade took place through the downtown area. Buff and Tuff, Powder Puff and Tug of War games took place after the parade, as did a scavenger hunt.

Homecoming candidates were Amora Cheek, Brooklyn Mahon and Donna Schupp, as well as Garrett Sheehan, Blake Sullivan and Peyton Wyatt.

Sheehan and Mahon were crowned king and queen at the game, which the Bulldogs won, 68-0, against Doniphan West.
