Tonganoxie baseball, softball have cancellations Monday

Tonganoxie baseball and softball home games Monday at Leavenworth County Fairgrounds were canceled, but THS baseball had a doubleheader Tuesday at home against Bonner Springs.
The baseball games against Seaman and softball games against Atchison were postponed Monday. The softball doubleheader against Atchison has been moved to 4 p.m. May 15. The baseball makeup date still is to be determined.
Tonganoxie was 8-6 heading into Tuesday’s games against Bonner Springs.
THS lost to Paola, 3-1, on April 15 on the road, but picked up a victory Thursday at Louisburg.
The Chieftains routed the Wildcats, 15-4, in that game.
A day later, THS played Basehor-Linwood, but couldn’t get past the rival. The Bobcats won, 5-2. BLHS is now 12-4 on the season after defeating Ottawa on Monday, 3-2, at home.
Tonganoxie softball is 7-5 on the season.
Tonganoxie split a doubleheader April 15 with Paola and then defeated Louisburg two days later. All of those games were played on the road.
Tonganoxie is set to play in a tournament this weekend and then has Baldwin at home this coming Tuesday.
McLouth teams get victories
McLouth softball is a perfect 16-0, though one of Monday’s games went into extra innings.
MHS defeated Jackson Heights, 4-0 and then 9-4, with the second game going into extras.
Baseball got 2 wins Thursday against Horton. The team is 3-11 on the season.
