Egg hunt on its way

Tonganoxie Recreation Commission will play host to its annual Easter egg hunt 3 p.m. Saturday at Chieftain Park.
Local youth aged from toddlers to 8 years old are invited to participate in hunting for candy filled eggs.
Besides the hunt, the rec commission also will provide a petting zoo, a bounce house, face painters and of course a visit from the Easter Bunny.
This year's weather also looks as though it will be an improvement from last year's late cold snap. The national weather service forecast has Saturday's temperatures in the low 50s.

What’s the best way to spend a snow day?
Shovel your driveway and paths, check neighbors’ driveways and then grab all your closest little ones and find the biggest sledding hill. Snowmen also are a must. Snow days are a great time to catch up on missed shows and much-needed rest. I love snowdays, they haven’t changed one bit even as an adult, although I am sure not all working adults can say that, but I am happy I can. I was excited to see the snowmen and other snow sculptures throughout the Lawrence and Kansas City metro areas.
