Leavenworth County Sheriff
A vehicle driven by Brett Culbert, 16, Leavenworth, was traveling south on 147th Street, south of McIntyre, about 9:50 p.m. Oct. 23 when Culbert lost control and drove the vehicle up an embankment. The vehicle rolled over. Culbert was taken to St. John Hospital, where he was treated and released.
A car driven north on Leavenworth County Road 2 by Adam J. Breidenthal, 18, Bonner Springs, struck a deer at Kansas Avenue. The accident occurred about 7:20 a.m. Oct. 22.
A car driven west on Kansas Highway 16 by Aaron E. Gardner, 19, McLouth, struck a deer about 7 p.m. Oct. 22.
A vehicle driven by Jeffrey S. Hamilton, 30, Prairie Village, was backing from a field road onto Millwood Road, about 0.3 of a mile west of 171st Street, when it collided with a vehicle driven by Justin Hammeke, 16, Leavenworth. The accident occurred about 4 p.m. Oct. 19.
A clerk at G&P Country Market, 1204 E. U.S. Highway 24-40 in Tonganoxie, reported that someone took three cartons of cigarettes and fled west in a vehicle on highway 24-40. The theft occurred about 11:55 p.m. Oct. 23.
A vehicle driven north on U.S. Highway 24-40 by Larry D. Hols, 37, Lawrence, struck a deer about 9:30 p.m. Thursday. The accident occurred about 0.3 of a mile south of Honeycreek Road.
Stereo equipment was taken in a residential burglary Friday morning in the 26000 block of Wolcott Road. In addition, a stereo was taken from a vehicle parked at the home. The total loss was estimated at $2,157.
A vehicle driven south on U.S. Highway 24-40 by Josh Meyer, 21, Perry, struck a deer about 7:50 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred south of Stillwell Road.
A vehicle driven west on U.S. Highway 24-40 by Cynthia S. Ladd, 45, Effingham, struck a deer about 8:10 p.m. Saturday. The accident occurred about a half-mile south of 198th Street.

Responded at 5 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of Hatchell Road to assist a citizen.
Responded at 6:05 a.m. Sunday to the 300 block of East Second to assist Leavenworth County Emergency Medical Service with a medical emergency.
Responded at 8:13 a.m. Monday to the 200 block of Village to assist EMS with a medical emergency.
Leavenworth County District Court
A preliminary hearing for a 21-year-old Leavenworth man has been rescheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 5. Jerry R. Williams Jr. faces 37 charges in connection with vehicle burglaries and vehicle thefts.
A hearing is set for 1 p.m. Nov. 28 to consider motions filed in a case against former Leavenworth County Commissioner Wayne Eldridge. Eldridge is charged with aiding and abetting public nudity, promoting prostitution and promoting obscenity in connection with a private club he operates northeast of Basehor. Eldridge’s attorney filed motions centering on constitutional issues, which will be argued at the hearing.
