Substate pairings were announced Wednesday, with the THS boys assigned the No. 6 seed. Tonganoxie (10-9) will play at No. 3 Baldwin (14-5) at 7 p.m. Monday in Class 4A substate action.

The THS girls will be the No. 1 seed at 18-1 and will play No. 8 De Soto (8-10) at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Tonganoxie.

Tonganoxie’s boys squad had a chance to secure the No. 5 seed, but fell to Bishop Ward on Tuesady. Eudora, the No. 5 seed, also has a 10-9 record, but Eudora was awarded the higher seed via a tie-breaking win against THS this season. The Cardinals will play at Bishop Ward at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Semifinal boys games will be played at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 1 in Tonganoxie, while girls semifinal games will be played at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. March 2 in Tonganoxie.

The championship girls game will be played at 6 p.m. March 3 in Tonganoxie; the boys title game will follow the girls game, approximately 7:30 p.m.
