Campers will rely on natural resources and science principles to survive until they are rescued. They will experience harnessing the power of the sun, wind and water as well as learn how to build and use simple machines such as a catapult.

The two-day camp will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, June 18 and Friday, June 19 at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds. It will be followed on Saturday, June 20, with the 4-H Tech Day, which is open to the public.

The 4-H science, engineering and technology programs educate youth and encourage them to realize the importance of these areas as potential careers.
