Benefit concert, chili supper is Sunday at fairgrounds

A benefit concert and chili supper for Jarbalo resident David Foster, who recently was diagnosed with liver cancer, will start at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Leavenworth County Fairgrounds, 405 W. Fourth St. in Tonganoxie. Doors open at 2 p.m. and bands start performing at 3:30 p.m.

Scheduled to perform are Joey Glenn with Don Spain, country artist Bryan Fontenot, rock/alternative performer Darren Denney, folk/Americana singer John Craig, country and bluegrass performers Stranger Creek, classic rock group Junction Box and country performer Bill Elliot, as well as South Bound Outlaw.

Cover charge is $15 for couples and $10 for youths. Children 5 and younger are admitted for free.

Free chili and dessert will be served, while drinks are available for purchase.

Loud and Clear Productions, Steven Pinkerton, will provide sound.
