McLouth happenings
Memorial service at Wildhorse Cemetery took place May 30, led by Clyde Ham, pastor of the Tonganoxie Friends Church. In attendance were Bob and Alfreda Ryan, Viola Edmonds, Lloyd and Margaret Smelser, Allen and Nancy Smelser, Rusty Smelser, all of McLouth; Carol Whitaker and Betty Heywood, Tonganoxie; Larry Edmonds, Drexel, Mo.; and Kathy Boor, of Lawrence. After the service, everyone enjoyed homemade ice cream and cake at the Ryans’ home.
• Jefferson County Historical Society will feature a wedding dress display and a collection of Jackie Trainer art from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at Old Jefferson Town in Oskaloosa.
• Descendants of George and Grace Tarr will gather for a covered dish noon meal Sunday at the McLouth Community Center. Please bring your photo albums and memories to share.
