McLouth Church of the Nazarene will host this year’s community-wide Advent service at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9.  This is a time to prepare our hearts, as well as our world, for the coming of Christ, which we celebrate on Christmas Day. Everyone is invited to attend. McLouth Ministerial Alliance will receive a special offering, which will be used to provide food and assistance to individuals and families throughout the coming year.

American Legion Post No. 41 will enjoy Christmas dinner together beginning with a social time from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, in the 4-H Building on the fairgrounds in Tonganoxie.The post is providing the meats and members are asked to bring side dishes or desserts and their own dinnerware.
