Aunt Norie’s Sewing Room

By Eleanor Mckee - | Jun 19, 2012

Diane grew up with a very devoted mother who always taught her children to believe and to know that God is watching over us all the time — every moment every second — and that He also has very special angels among us at all times.

Many of us have found, when seemingly out of nowhere, at a very critical moment, that an angel has indeed been right there. They are indeed all around us.

For Diane, it was that very friendly trio at the next table, just eating out one evening. Bill, George and Wanda struck up a conversation. They were so different, so totally different. I remember saying “Well, look at me, I never talk to strangers.” George was so outgoing. His wife had chimed in “Oh, he is harmless.” Diane added “It was such a different and wonderful evening.”

Looking back now, she knows God had planned that whole evening (less than a year ago) for each of them, “but especially for me, since then, they have been there for me, for the stroke that was just around the corner, the heart problems, clogged arteries, and now cancer. So weak, so sick, and I had to move to Tongie, they even packed my stuff. I had no furniture and now I needed some.”

They even had that, Wanda said. “Oh, George finds things he seems to know someone needs, and it went so cheap.” Sure enough, he had found a bedroom set perfect for my needs just days before.

They are always reaching out helping someone.

I’ve wanted to publicly thank them. Bill, George and Wanda, I just couldn’t have made it without you, my very special friends, and I thank God for sending you my way. I love you so very much.

And we here at the village thank you also for bringing us such a wonderful new neighbor. Welcome aboard, Diane.

God Bless and keep you all.
