Peggy Gillaspie and Evelyn Schwinn attended the Pickett Fence Tea on June 15 at Jarbalo United Methodist Church. Peggy Gillaspie, Jeannette Cole, Evelyn Schwinn and Brenda Schwinn attended a bridal shower for Kate Stafford, bride-elect of Ryan Todd, at Trinity Lutheran Church on June 16 in Leavenworth.

The Fathers of Springdale Friends Church were honored for Fathers Day on June 17. They received gifts and the Sunday school youth sang a special song, with Dylan Lawrence leading them.

The Schwinn brothers, Danny, Johnny and Billy, as well as Evelyn and Linda Schwinn, attended the visitation and funeral for Lewis Miller on June 18 and 19 at West Haven Baptist Church in Tonganoxie. Our sympathy to the Miller family.

Michael Coffin will celebrate a birthday June 22. Emma Schwinn will turn 8 on June 25.

The Woodhead family reunion took place June 17 at the Winchester Community Center with Oona Woodhead and children serving as hosts. Others were from Tonganoxie, Severy, Kansas City, Kan., Wichita, McLouth, Springdale and Meriden. Lots of visiting took place. The reunion takes place every two years. It was an enjoyable afternoon.
