Warrior football teams take on Clark
The Tonganoxie Middle School eighth-grade A-team earned a 14-6 win on Tuesday against Clark Middle School (Bonner Springs). Jordan Brown accounted for all the Warriors’ points, scoring two rushing touchdowns and adding a two-point conversion.
The seventh-graders also found themselves in a tight game, but came up just short in a 16-14 loss to the Panthers. Tyler Waters returned a fumble for a touchdown and Zach Morgan added a rushing score and two-point conversion.
The B-teams squared off on Monday. The seventh-graders won by a 22-8 margin, while the eighth-graders dropped a 24-0 decision.
The Warriors will be back on the gridiron on Tuesday when they take on Piper. The seventh-graders will play at home, while the eighth-graders will travel to Piper. Action for both teams is set for 4 p.m.
