A group met on Wednesday, March 20, at the Pullman Place in Leavenworth to plan the upcoming Easton Rural High School reunion. Those attending were Judy Sloan; Eugene and Eileen Kramer; May and Jim Thomas; Danny and Linda Schwinn; Maxine Tucker; Shirley Langley; Evelyn Schwinn. The reunion will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at the St. Lawrence Hall in Easton.
Brian Schwinn visited his mother, Evelyn Schwinn, on Thursday.
The Springdale Friends Church service was canceled on Sunday, as was the evening Holy Week service. A group of members went Monday to McLouth United Methodist Church for the Holy Week service. They were presented with special music and Pastor Rob Santel was the speaker.
Where is spring? After the snow covered the weekend, we here at Springdale think that the groundhog may be in the dog house, scared to show himself.
Tom Stohte celebrated his 57th birthday on Wednesday.
The Leavenworth Co-op celebrated its 50th anniversary with a lovely dinner served by the Livewires 4-H club on Tuesday at the Lansing Community Center. A nice program was presented. Some of the Schwinn family, Lairds Family and John Moses attended the co-op supper. Door prizes were given to members. Wayne Knapp was still living on board in the 50 years. It has grown very rapidly in the co-op business. Congratulations to all the members.
On Sunday, Wayne and Anabel Knapp attended Holy Week services at McLouth United Methodist Church. A nice crowd attended. Lots of singing was done.
