Firefighters were called out about 1 p.m. Sunday to Ladd Service Company, 408 E. Fourth St.

According to the Tonganoxie City Fire Department, a portion of the metal roofing peeled off from the south end of the building.

The 400 block of Fourth Street was blocked off for several hours in case winds took more of the roof off the building, according to the fire department.
