Danny and Linda R. Schwinn celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary Aug. 20. They took a day away from the farm.

Becky Wolfe celebrated her 39th birthday Aug. 20.

Plans are being made for the 12th all Schwinn family reunion, which will take place Sept. 29 at the Schwinn Event Barn in Leavenworth. There will be a potluck dinner at 1 p.m., followed by a short program and visiting. For more information, contact Meriam Seute at 913-651-6546.

The area farmers are winding up the hay season, which has been a very good one. They will be on the combining season in several weeks.

Wayne and Anabel Knapp stopped by to visit with Thelma Wallace, who moved to Leavenworth several years ago. They took her some garden produce on Aug. 22.
